How a scan is run

Thermography only works with a temperature differential, so timing matters more than equipment. Roof scans are flown or walked after sunset, once solar loading has ended and dry insulation has released its heat. Interior wall and ceiling scans need a differential between inside and outside, so we schedule around weather and, where necessary, use the building's own HVAC to create one. Electrical scans are run under load, with panel covers removed by the site's qualified personnel, because an unloaded circuit shows nothing.

Every anomaly we flag is confirmed against a second source rather than reported on the thermal image alone: moisture meter readings, visual inspection, load readings, or a test cut coordinated with the roofing contractor. That is what keeps an infrared report actionable instead of speculative.

Equipment and delivery

We use radiometric handheld and drone-mounted thermal cameras, so a large roof can be scanned aerially and then verified on foot at the anomalies. Reports pair each thermal image with a matching visible-light photo, mark suspected areas on a roof or floor plan, and state what we recommend — a spot repair, a test cut, a torque check by an electrician, or no action.
